We are excited to announce that our very own co-chair, Rania Kelly, was part of a team that wrote a recently published article in the Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation. Rania worked with a team from Boston University, the Circle of Vietnamese Parents, and Lesley University.

The article, Equal Ground: Meaningful Collaboration with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Families of Children with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities, is a critical review of recent research in which the team of authors address both the ideal of culturally responsive family-professional partnerships and the frequent reality of persistent systemic barriers, adversarial interactions, and the expectation of advocacy (rather than participation) by families.

On behalf of all of us here at MassFamilies, we couldn’t be more proud 😁👏

Please join us in congratulating Rania on this amazing accomplishment!
