MassFamilies is excited to announce that our organization was recently announced as a recipient of a small grant from MDDC for The Family Spirit Program.
The Family Spirit Program, a new MassFamilies Initiative, is an Indigenous solution to supporting and educating tribal caregivers of loved ones with IDD. This program builds advocacy and leadership skills while addressing knowledge gaps in terminology, concepts, and how to navigate the education and healthcare systems.
MassFamilies would like to thank MDDC for this remarkable opportunity.
Also awarded a small grant from MDDC was Conexiones Latinx-MA project aims to equip Hispanic-Latinx families with tools, knowledge and resources to advocate for their loved ones with disabilities through comprehensive training in areas like education, healthcare, accessibility, community integration, and mental health. Conexiones Latinx-MA is led by MassFamilies Co-Chair, Keila Torres. Congratulations
