Community Call with Division for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs Leadership
The Director and Assistant Director of DPH’s Division for Children & Youth with Special Health Needs are interested in hearing directly from parents and primary caregivers of medically complex children.
In particular there are two questions:
What issues or challenges for children with medical complexity and their families would be important to highlight in the forthcoming report?
What barriers to healthcare do children with medical complexity face in the Commonwealth?
Given that we only have 1 ½ hours, it will be critical that people be concise and succinct.
Please come prepared to discuss their views on these questions. We are not going to be able to problem solve during this session; however, the input from families will help us better understand people’s lived experiences and determine how best to address the challenges we face on a daily basis.
