For 35 years, MassFamilies has been working to build a network of family leaders and self-avvocates in Massachusetts. Our flagship offering to accomplish that goal is the Family Leadership Series. The Family Leadership Series has helped develop family leaders to create positive change within their families, communities and beyond.
The Family Leadership Series has a three-fold purpose:
- Establish a network of family leaders who will advocate at the local and state level to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Provide information about “best practices” for people with disabilities.
- Help families create a vision for their family member and a plan to achieve the vision by incorporating that information.
Parents and family caregivers living in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties are encouraged to apply for the 2026 Western Mass Family Leadership Series here.
