Advanced Family Leadership Series

MassFamilies invites you to apply to participate in the Advanced Family Leadership Series, a four month-long intensive study of leadership, innovative and emerging best practices, strategies for peer support and community organizing.

This training will connect participants in several ways that can accommodate our busy lives. We’ll engage with each other in real time, asynchronously, and in an online forum. You’ll be asked to develop your own materials, with the goal that you’ll use these to support other families in your network and potentially as a presenter at MassFamilies trainings.

The ideal candidate for the Advanced Family Leadership Series has attended a portion of the Family Leadership Series or Advocacy Bootcamp, agrees with our Core Values and Guiding Principles, and has a passion for supporting other families to develop their own leadership skills. Translation and live language interpretation are available, as are daily stipends for your meals for each day you are training. Respite funding and Chromebooks are available to those who require them to participate.

Please note that our first event together will be on February 22, 2021, and that training sessions in March, April, May, and June will be scheduled according to the group’s availability.
