Planning for Housing: Considerations for parents with children of transition age

Sandra Kinney, MFOFC board co-chair, will share the approach she and her son Craig, who has Down Syndrome, took to develop a living arrangement that allows him to maintain independence and make choices in how he spends time outside work. She will also discuss important considerations such as the right time for parents to begin planning, available resources, the process of hiring support professionals and, above all, creating a vision for the future.
